MZONE is the enabling and support service for youth music on Merseyside. We are striving to establish a vibrant and dynamic environment for young people, music makers, educators and the public
To achieve our aims MZONE:
Empowers young people to articulate their music needs through specific initiatives designed to profile young music makers and their activities
Impacts on policy and strategy making for music development for young people on Merseyside and forms strategic relationships with key agencies, authorities and stakeholders
Generates opportunities for participation in music making through projects and programmes
Stimulates a high quality of music delivery in Merseyside through programme partnerships, project initiatives and the provision of training through a CPD programme
Enables community-based music development through the provision of support services
SERVICES
MZONE recognises the need to provide a range of support service to enable and assist the development of music making opportunity on Merseyside. We also recognise that in doing this we increase the level of participation of young people in music projects and employment opportunities for music leaders.
MZONE's services are designed to be flexible and support the changing needs of its clientele. Simply constructed for ease of use and clarity of purpose each service targets:
- Individual musicians/music leaders
- Community-based music projects
- Music organisation
- Local authority arts, youth, education and community units and staff
- Freelance project managers/coordinators
Services are usually delivered on a 1-to-1-session basis by skilled and experienced MZONE staff and are free to appropriate users.
